Their canvas print initiative generated some interest, and a few orders. This project enabled them to connect with artists and reproduce unique prints on their behalf. The venture was unfolding as planned.

Unexpectedly, the most intriguing part of their journey was yet to come. When Bryce designed the brochure, he included an offer to produce wall murals, despite having no experience creating or producing one before. Regardless, it made the brochure look more impressive, and Bryce figured they could cross that bridge when they came to it.

Indeed, their wall murals sparked far greater interest, marking the beginning of their foray into the wallpaper industry. Their first task was to create a mural for the entrance of the Noosa Surf Club. This was years before a digital wallpaper solution existed, leading to many late nights pondering how to complete the job. They eventually sourced a latex-reinforced paper and printed on it using their wide-format printer and water-based ink. This created new problems, however, as the ink would run upon contact with water.

The solution? An airgun to spray the wallpaper panels with the same laminate they used to protect their canvas prints. A rudimentary process, but one that worked – they would spray the roll, wait for it to dry, and trim it by hand before passing it on to the installer. Fortunately, the installer was highly skilled and had seen all sorts of wallpaper throughout his career. His experience made their product look excellent.
