Dourone’s Art For The People
An entrepreneur of the graphic arts, Dourone is the latest thoroughbred in the Wallpaper Republic stable.
Dourone a.k.a. Fabio Lopez is a graphic artist who reigns from the Spanish Countryside. His style is informed by surrealist, figurative and classical illustration “drawing” inspiration from illustrative figureheads such as MC Escher, Mohlitz Phillipe, Moebuis and Giovanni Battista Piranesi. Perspective, vanishing points are often skewed and offer more than just one point of view. Delicate whilst being purposeful, Dourone’s work is that of a master craftsman. Dourone has recently relocated to Los Angeles to further his dreams. As the photos show, he has been a busy man collaborating and creating some visually bombastic wall murals.
His featured pattern in Wallpaper Republic is “Paris Rooftops”. A seamless repeat that makes an impressive statement upon a wall. Paris Rooftops is available in 3 distinct colourways, it features all of the landmarks of the grande city of Paris. Check out the other colourways here.
